This icons represents different types of things, such us the events acces, the daily missions description, the shop, etc.The upper menu shows a summary of 4 different aspects of your colony: Population, Electric Credits (EC), Resources, and Common Galactic Credits (CGC).
The icon below your name offers the option to take a look to your current missions. This icon can be green or red, depending on how much critical are the cabinet messages. The red star of the right is the icon for the advisors that come from the Cabinet. Clicking on it you will enter into the Commander info section. This part shows the commander's avatar, commander's name and the current progress points.On the edges of the image, you can see different groups of icons (the coloured squares): In the middle of the image, you can see a beautiful view of your space station, it'll be your home during the game and you'll see it grow with new buildings on it.
